O. Tamburri was an American technical director in television.

Following high school, he worked at several local Pittsburgh area radio stations before enlisting in the Navy Air Corps during World War II, where he served in the Pacific theater guiding radio controlled aircraft over enemy targets.

After the war, Tamburri went to New York, where he began his career as a technical director with NBC.

He was the recipient of two Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and 24 nominations for his work as technical director on shows ranging from major sporting events, sitcoms and space launches, to game shows, political conventions and the Hallmark Hall of Fame series.

Tamburri served as technical director on 123 episodes of The Golden Girls, for which he received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning one.

Tamburri worked with a wide variety of performers throughout his career, including Art Carney, Bob Hope, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Julie Andrews, Harry Belafonte, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Redd Foxx, Don Rickles, and Cher.

Tamburri died February 10, 2012, in Vista, California. He was 90.
