Which 8 Oscar Nominees Have Emmy Nods, Too?

Lincoln tops 2013 Academy Award nominees with 12 nominations. Django, Zero Dark Thirty, more among nine candidates for Best Picture. Plus, Emmy-winning host of this year's Oscars Seth MacFarlane isn't the only Emmy winner who got good Oscar news today. Take a look.

Beverly Hills, CAPrimetime Emmy® winner and 85th Academy Awards host Seth MacFarlane and actress Emma Stone announced this year's Oscar® nominees at a bright and quite early 5:30 a.m. this morning.

The Family Guy creator's appearance today marked the first time that an Oscars show host has participated in the nominations ceremony since Charleton Heston revealed noms in 1972. The sprightly feel of this morning's reveal appeared to give viewers a glimpse into kind of humor MacFarlane and team may bring to the telecast on Feb. 24.

Eight individuals who received Oscar nominations today happen to be Emmy nominees and/or winners as well: Hugh Jackman, Alan Arkin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, Helen Hunt, George Clooney and Seth MacFarlane.

Clooney shares a Best Picture nomination for Argo with his fellow producers Grant Heslov and Ben Affleck. Show host MacFarlane shares a Best Original Song nod with music composer Walter Murphy for "Everybody Needs A Best Friend" from the movie Ted, which MacFarlane also wrote, directed, produced and performed (voice of Ted). The remaining five stars received acting kudos.

Additionally, though 2013 Oscar nominee Jackman did not receive Emmy kudos in individual performance categories in 2009, his turn as host of the 81st Annual Academy Awards that year played no small part in the Oscars garnering a Primetime Emmy nom for Outstanding Special Class Program that year.
