75th Los Angeles Area Emmy Winners Announced

The 75th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards were presented tonight from the Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills.

This year's awards ceremony, produced by Bob Bain and Bob Bain Productions, honored locally produced programs in the categories of Live and Breaking News Coverage, Crime and Social Issues, Culture and History, the Arts, Health and Science, Human Interest, Music, Sports, and the Environment.

Former Lakers basketball player Robert Horry presented the 2023 Los Angeles Area Emmy Governors Award to Los Angeles Lakers broadcast analyst Stu Lantz. The award is presented annually to an individual, company or organization that has made a substantial contribution to television broadcasting in the greater Los Angeles area. Lantz was recognized for his 36-year career of serving Los Angeles and Lakers fans across the globe. The former professional basketball player (Rockets, Pistons, Jazz and Lakers) began his radio and television career with the Purple and Gold in 1987 and has since built a storied career as the voice of Lakers basketball.

A complete list of this year's Los Angeles Area Emmy Award winners, as compiled by the independent accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP, is available here.
