Clark’s first credit as an assistant director was for the 1987 Oscar-nominated feature film The Whales of August (with Bette Davis, Lillian Gish, and Vincent Price).

Clark’s other feature film credits include Sonny Boy (with David Carradine), Waiting for the Light (with Shirley MacLaine and Teri Garr), Memphis (with Cybill Shepherd), Silent Tongue (with Alan Bates and Richard Harris), and Shakes the Clown (with Bobcat Goldthwait). Clark, who enjoyed working on Shakes the Clown, jokingly referred to it as “the Citizen Kane of clown movies.”

In addition to numerous made-for-TV films and miniseries, Clark’s television resume includes episodes of Burn Notice, Leverage, Banshee, Chance (with Hugh Laurie), and House of Cards.

Clark died June 22, 2020, in Tehachapi, California.
