Makeup Artists/Hairstylists

Requirements for membership in the Makeup Artists/Hairstylists Peer Group

Please note that requirements (as outlined below) must be met within the four (4) years preceding one's application for membership or membership review; also, such requirements apply in each instance to the production and/or distribution of nationally exhibited audio visual works. All episodes should be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes in length unless defined otherwise specifically for short form programming. Individuals who have received a Primetime or Daytime Emmy Nomination, specific to this peer group, within the past four (4) years are eligible for Active membership.

Active Status:

Employment as a Makeup Artist or Hairstylist on at least twenty-five (25) episodes of nationally-exhibited content within a 4 year period and a minimum of two (2) years experience. The 25 episodes shall be verified by a Department Head and/or credits. Any protest shall be decided by the PGEC.

A significant body of work to be defined as a minimum ten (10) years cumulative work in Television as a Department Head for national exhibition, verified and approved by the PGEC.
or

If you have received a Daytime or Primetime Emmy Nomination within the last four (4) years

Associate Status:

Any Makeup Artist or Hairstylist who has not yet met the requirements for Active Status.
or

Any individual who designs, supervises, sculpts or manufactures makeup or hairstyling products, but does not apply it.
