Robert Mandan was an American actor.

He was best known as the conniving, womanizing Wall Street broker Chester Tate on the satirical sitcom Soap, which aired from from 1977 to 1981.

Mandan began his career in television with roles on soap operas such as The Edge of Night, The Doctors, and Search for Tomorrow. Later in his career he would return to soaps with appearances on Santa Barbara, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital.

Mandan died April 29, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. He was 86.
