Terry Becker was perhaps best known for his acting work as Chief Sharkey on 71 episodes of ABC’s Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. The action/adventure show was based on Irwin Allen’s 1961 film, and aired on television from 1964 to 1968.

Becker’s work switched mainly to behind the camera after Voyage. He directed for popular television series such as Mod Squad, The Brady Bunch, Mission: Impossible, M*A*S*H, and Room 222, for which he also worked as an associate producer.

Early on in Becker’s career he had small parts on Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Perry Mason and a memorable role on Twilight Zone as Jagger – a man wrongfully accused of murder.

In 1973, he partnered with actor Carroll O'Connor to form O'Connor-Becker Productions. In 1983, the partnership ended and Becker continued producing under his own Becker Productions and Becker Enterprises.

Becker died December 30, 2014 in Los Angeles. He was 93.
