Phyllis Kasha was an American casting director.
Kasha started her career as a private and public school teacher of science, biology and chemistry, later transitioning to the entertainment business, becoming manager of radio production at Columbia Records.
She was one of the founding partners of Henderson, Kasha & Scott, a theatrical casting agency. Kasha cast many of the stage actors she worked with in television commercials, Dustin Hoffman prominent among them.

She then founded Kasha/Liebhart casting with partner Vince Liebhart, casting several films and television shows. She gave many actors their first jobs in television, including Julianne Moore and Marisa Tomei.
Kasha garnered several Clio Awards (advertising’s equivalent to the Oscars) for her work in radio and television commercials.
After retiring from casting in 1997, she earned a master’s degree in mental health counseling.
Kasha died January 12, 2019, in Boca Raton, Florida. She was 77.
