Lisa Gaye was an actress and dancer best known for her performance in the 1956 musical film Rock Around the Clock, featuring the band Bill Haley and the Comets. Gaye played Lisa Johns, who could be seen dancing with Earl Barton (also the film's choreographer) during the show-stopping number "Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie."

Gaye also appeared in Shake Rattle & Rock!, in which she played the love interest of the main character, a disc jockey played by Mike Connors. Additionally, Gaye appeared in the films The Glenn Miller Story, starring James Stewart; Magnificent Obsession, with Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson; Ain’t Misbehavin’, starring Rory Calhoun; and Ten Thousand Bedrooms, with Dean Martin.

She also appeared on many television shows, including parts on Annie Oakley; Zorro; The Lineup; Have Gun — Will Travel; Colt .45; The Bob Cummings Show, on which she played recurring character Collette DuBois; How to Marry a Millionaire, based on the 1953 film starring Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall; Sugarfoot; Pony Express; The Millionaire; Wanted: Dead or Alive, starring Steve McQueen; Cheyenne; Rawhide, starring Clint Eastwood; Maverick; Wagon Train; Tales of Wells Fargo; Laramie; Bronco; Hawaiian Eye; 77 Sunset Strip; Burke’s Law; Perry Mason; Get Smart; The Wild Wild West; I Dream of Jeannie; Death Valley Days; The Flying Nun; and Mod Squad.

Gaye came from a show business family. Her family moved to Los Angeles when Gaye’s sister, Teala Loring, was signed by Paramount. Shortly thereafter, her sister Debra Paget (Broken Arrow, Love Me Tender and The Ten Commandments) was signed by 20th Century Fox. In 1953, Gaye was signed by Universal International. Their brother, Frank Griffin, was also a makeup artist and former actor.

Gaye died July 14, 2016, in Houston, Texas. She was 81.
