Larry Sellers

Larry Sellers was an American actor and stunt performer.

Raised in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Sellers was a stand-out athlete and rodeo performer before serving in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.  After completing his service, Sellers attended Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas, playing football and golf before beginning a career as an educator and trick-rider in Arizona.

Sellers' skills as a horseman led to opportunities as a stunt performer in Los Angeles, soon leading to an acting career, playing on-screen with such stars Al Pacino, Mike Myers, and Jane Seymour. 

Among Sellers’ television acting credits: Crime Story, Life Goes On, Walker, Texas Ranger, Beverly Hills 90210, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and The Sopranos.

Sellers was a traditional practitioner of Native American ceremonies for 40 years, an iconic figure within the resurgence of Native American spirituality and revitalization following the Religious Freedom Act of 1978 which gave Native peoples the right to openly practice their cultures and traditions for the first time in nearly 100 years.

Sellers died December 9, 2021, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He was 72.
