Jeff Ross was a personal manager who owned his own literary management and production company, Jeff Ross Entertainment (JRE).

A native of New York, Ross headed to California in 1978 and began his career in production on several of Norman Lear’s sitcoms: All in the Family, One Day at a Time, Maude, Good Times and The Jeffersons. He also worked on telecasts of the Grammy Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors.

He later changed the course of his career and moved into talent representation, working at the William Morris Agency. He founded his own firm, JRE, in 1982, specializing in managing screenwriters and directors.
