Jay Leggett was a performer, writer, producer and director known to many television viewers for his work on the sketch comedy series In Living Color.
 
A native of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Leggett graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and got his start in the Chicago improv-comedy scene with the renowned Improv Olympic troupe. In addition to his work as as a performer, he was a director and producer.

Besides In Living Color, his TV credits as an actor included ER, Between Brothers, Ally McBeal, Family Law, The Drew Carey Show, NYPD Blue, Star Trek: Voyager, Lemmings and Factory. His feature films as an actor included Hero, Another Day in Paradise and Employee of the Month, which he also wrote and co-produced.

Leggett died Noveber 23, 2013, after a day of deer hunting near his hometown. He was 50.
