Heather Menzies was a Canadian-American model and actress.

She was best known for her roles as Louisa von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound of Music.

Television appearances included roles on Dragnet, Marcus Welby, M.D., Bonanza, Love, American Style, The Bob Newhart Show, Barnaby Jones, The Love Boat, Vega$, and T.J. Hooker.

She married actor Robert Urich in 1975. Urich and Menzies first met in 1974 while filming a Libby’s hash commercial in which they got "married." After his death, Menzies established the Robert Urich Foundation and spent most of her time in her last years devoted to the organization that raises money for cancer research and support for cancer patients.

Menzies died December 24, 2017, in Frankford, Quinte West, Ontario, Canada. She was 68.
