Guy Thomas was an American screenwriter for film and television.

Born in New York and raised in Georgia, Thomas began his career writing for live theater and eventually, for the screen. At age 22, he sold his first screenplay, The Jungle Boy, to Columbia Pictures.

He is best known for penning The Magic of Belle Isle (2012), a film directed by Rob Reiner that starred Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen.

Thomas died July 10, 2020 in Ventura, California. He was 66.
