Glenn Rigberg

Glenn Rigberg is an Emmy nominated producer and the founder and President of INPHENATE, a talent management and production company, which specializes in personal management of film, television, and theatre actors as well as writers and directors. Upon graduation from Syracuse University in 1988, Glenn started working in the Beverly Hills office of William Morris Agency as an agent trainee. Glenn was soon promoted to talent agent at WMA where he represented actors such as Salma Hayek, George Clooney, Billy Bob Thornton, and Matthew Perry. Glenn ventured into personal talent management in 1994 with Carlyle Productions and Management.

Glenn ventured into personal talent management in 1994 with Carlyle Productions and Management. While at Carlyle, Glenn managed the careers of a number of clients including actors Willem Dafoe, Christopher Meloni (Law & Order SVU) and director Doug Liman (Swingers, Bourne Identity). In 1997, Glenn left Carlyle to start his own management firm, which is now known as INPHENATE.

Glenn co-represented the sale of Swingers to Miramax in and was involved in selling such films as Deepa Mehta’s Fire, Earth, and Xiu Xiu- The Sent Down Girl, written and directed by client Joan Chen. Most recently, Rigberg sold to Monument Films, Flesh and Blood written, directed and starring client Mark Webber and featuring client Madeline Brewer. Glenn has also served as an Executive producer on a number of films, including critically acclaimed You Don’t Know Jack for HBO Films, based on the life of Dr. Jack Kevorkian. The film, directed by Barry Levinson starring Al Pacino, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman garnered 15 Emmy nominations including Emmy wins for Pacino and Mazer (Pacino also went on to win the Golden Globe and SAG awards) and an Emmy nomination for Rigberg. Other film producing credits include Southern Belles starring Anna Faris, Night of the White Pants, which starred Tom Wilkinson, and Struck By Lightning written by and starring Chris Colfer that Brian Dannelly(Saved) directed. The film also starred Allison Janney, Rebel Wilson, Dermot Mulroney, Christina Hendricks, and Sarah Hyland. It was released by Tribeca Films in 2012.

INPHENATE represents an eclectic list of clients including actors such as SAG Nominated Madeline Brewer (The Handmaid’s Tale) Sam Page (The Bold Type, House of Cards), Justin Dobies (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina),Connor Kalopsis (Outmatched), Nicole Carpenter (Ma), Leon (Cool Runnings, The Temptations), Morgan Kelly (Mindhunter) and Spencer Neville (Ozark, Good Trouble). Rigberg also represents actress/writer/director Joan Chen (Netflix’s Marco Polo, Autumn in New York), actor/writer/director Mark Webber (Flesh and Blood), writer/director/actress Jordan Hinson (Breaking and Exiting), as well as British actress/writer, Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday).

Additionally, on the literary side, INPHENATE represents 2 time Oscar winning documentary filmmaker Barbara Kopple (Gigi Gorgeous, Harlan County, USA), and Roddenberry Entertainment (Star Trek). 

Rigberg has also consulted to various technology companies including Fix8, a software company specializing in “real time” animation, as well as SouthPeak Games which is one of the leading independent video game companies, Platinum Studios(Cowboys and Aliens),which has the largest independent comic book library in the world, and XRM Media, an international financing/production company.

The production arm of INPHENATE boasts a growing number of projects in development for feature film and television production. Rigberg was also an Executive producer on the indie film Five Nights in Maine produced by and starring David Oyelowo, which showed at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival and released by Filmrise. Also, Rigberg Executive produced client Barbara Kopple’s documentary, Fight to Live which was released in 2014 by Gravitas. Rigberg has had numerous projects in development over the past few years including with Universal Pictures the feature comedy PartyBuddys, with producer/financier Ted Field’s Radar Pictures, Let’s Get Fired!,with ESPN, Favre based on the life of Brett Favre, and Mitch Daye with Lionsgate Television. Current film projects include Earthwalker in partnership with producer Anne Carey (Mr. Holmes), as well as a film on the life of Hank Aaron called Hammer in partnership with producer Mike Tollin. Inphenate has optioned a series of books with client Mitchel Katlin entitled Baby Shark starring client Madeline Brewer as well another book, Spilling Clarence for film and/or television. Rigberg is currently developing the big budget feature film, Long John Silver written by Jim Hart (Hook, Dracula). 

Glenn Rigberg is on the Board of Governors for the Television Academy, as well as a member of the Producers Guild of America. He has also spoken on numerous entertainment industry panels. Glenn is also very proud and active Syracuse University alumni and this summer was an adjunct professor, teaching Artist Representation and the Creative Process to senior undergraduates.
