Frank Avruch was an American television personality.

Avruch was the star of the popular children's TV program Bozo the Clown. Avruch played Bozo from 1959 to 1970, a clown character particularly popular in the U.S. in the 1960s because of widespread franchising in television. Avruch became the first nationally syndicated Bozo the Clown.

Avruch was the star of the popular children's TV program Bozo the Clown. Avruch played Bozo from 1959 to 1970, a clown character particularly popular in the U.S. in the 1960s because of widespread franchising in television. Avruch became the first nationally syndicated Bozo the Clown.

In addition to his work as Bozo, Avruch was a well-known Boston TV personality, having spent most of his career at local station WCVB-TV. He served as host of locally produced programs, including Sunday Open House, The Good Day Show, Man About Town, and The Great Entertainment. He was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2007.

Avruch was an active philanthropist and a board member of UNICEF'S New England chapter. He toured the world performing as Bozo for UNICEF.

Avruch died March 20, 2018, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was 89.
