Daniel Brenner

Daniel Brenner was a Los Angeles Superior Court judge and former advisor to two Federal Communications Commission chairmen. He also served as the senior vice president of law and regulatory policy of the Legal Department at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association.

Brenner advised FCC chairman Mark Fowler, an adjunct professor at the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California, and co-author of Cable Television: Law and Policy.

He earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Stanford University and later served as the director of the communications law program at UCLA's School of Law. He also taught at Georgetown University and was a volunteer for public service groups and public broadcasting.

In 2009, he received the NCTA's President’s Award for service to the cable industry.
