Christopher Lawford was an American actor, author, and activist.
He was the eldest child and only son of actor Peter Lawford and Patricia Kennedy Lawford. Lawford was a nephew of President John F. Kennedy and former cousin-in-law of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Lawford held a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, a law degree from Boston College Law School, and a master’s certification in clinical psychology from Harvard Medical School.
Lawford spent the last two decades traveling around the country speaking about his experience with drug addiction.

He was also a public health campaigner, working with the United Nations, the Canadian Center on Substance Abuse and Addiction, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and the World Health Organization.
Lawford’s acting work includes appearances on episodes of Tales from the Crypt, Midnight Caller, Silk Stalkings, All My Children, Chicago Hope, General Hospital, Frasier, and The O.C., as well as Schwarzenegger’s 2003 film, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
Lawford died September 4, 2018, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He was 63.
