O'Rourke's production roots run deep, including work at production companies and tv stations before his long tenure on the ad agency-side. Along the way his work has garnered many awards including 11 Emmy nominations, 3 Cannes Lion Grand Prix's, 2 Tribeca X Awards and countless others. He was nominated as the Agency Producer of the Year by AdAge and served on the Television Academy Board of Governors for five years. He credits the Television Academy for his success since he was Foundation Intern many moons ago.
