Anya Adams won her second NAACP Award in 2021 for outstanding directing in comedy for her "Hair Day" episode of black-ish and won the 2020 award for outstanding directing in a comedy series as well for her episode of GLOW. She recently directed an episode of A League of Their Own for Amazon, Roar for Apple, and a block of the final season of Amazon's award winning show The Expanse.

Prior to that, she directed a 3-episode block of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, as well as Jenji Kohan's Social Distancing anthology for Netflix, Tina Fey's Mr. Mayor, and the pilot and second episode of Netflix's hit series Ginny & Georgia. She has also recently been tapped to direct the upcoming Disney feature Prompact starring Peyton Lee Elizabeth.
