Al Burton was an American television producer, creator, and production consultant.

He is best known for creating the television show Win Ben Stein's Money (1997-2002), winning a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show for the show in 1999. Burton also co-developed the series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (1976-77) and was an executive producer on Charles in Charge (1984-90).

As a television creative supervisor, he helped develop series such as Fernwood Tonight, The Facts of Life, Sanford, One Day at a Time, Different Strokes, The Jeffersons, Silver Spoons, and Square Pegs.

Burton jump-started the careers of many young actors, including Michael J. Fox and Leonard DiCaprio, by casting them in projects he supervised.

Burton died October 22, 2019, in San Mateo, California. He was 91.
