Requirements for membership in the Commercials Peer Group
Please note that requirements (as outlined below) must be met within the four (4) years preceding one's application for membership or membership review; also, such requirements apply in each instance to the production and/or distribution of nationally exhibited audio visual works. All episodes should be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes in length unless defined otherwise specifically for short form programming. Individuals who have received a Primetime or Daytime Emmy Nomination, specific to this peer group, within the past four (4) years are eligible for Active membership.
Employment for a minimum of two (2) years within the last four (4) years in one of the classifications covered by the other Peer Groups (except Performers) on at least twenty (20) national commercials
Or as a PERFORMER in at least ten (10) national commercials
Or in a minimum of ten (10) segments of brand-driven content
Or ON-AIR Promos - as a PRODUCER or DIRECTOR on at least twenty (20) national on-air promos - each promo must have more than fifty percent (50%) original content
Or a combination of the above requirements
Or a qualified body of work relevant to the peer group that warrants a waiver of the above requirements. Body of Work designation has all benefits of Active membership with the exception of running for Peer Group Governor.
Members whose membership is based on their work in on-air promos are not eligible to run for Governor.
Employment by any person in a position which would normally qualify for Active Membership, but who has not compiled sufficient credits for Active membership and has worked in the industry for a minimum of one (1) year.
May also be drawn from Advertising Agencies, Commercial Production and Post-Production companies and the Creative Support Services Community.
