Laurie Mitchell was an American actress and model. 

In 1954, she made her acting debut opposite Kirk Douglas in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Mitchell was perhaps best known for her role as Queen Yllana, the ruler of Venus, in the 1958 science-fiction film Queen of Outer Space. The following year, she appeared alongside Marilyn Monroe as a member of “Sweet Sue’s” band in Some Like It Hot.

Mitchell died September 20, 2018, in Perris, California. She was 90.
