Ralph Taeger
Ralph Taeger was an actor best known for playing the title role in the western television series Hondo — a cavalry officer in the Arizona Territory of the 1870s. Based on the John Wayne film of the same name, the show premiered on ABC in 1967 and ran for 18 episodes.
Taeger’s other work in television included parts on the television series Men Into Space, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Six Million Dollar Man, Quincy M.E., Father Murphy and an episode of The Twilight Zone.
He had many recurring roles as well, such as the role of Michael Halliday on the early 1960s western Klondike, alongside James Coburn. Shortly afterward. he and Coburn reteamed as co-stars of another short-lived adventure series, Acapulco, as Korean War buddies who retire as beachcombers.
