Sybil Trubin was a producer and executive who worked in television and the live theater for several decades.

Trubin grew up in Rye, New York, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin before finding work as an assistant on the Broadway musical Brigadoon in 1947. On that production she befriended actress Marion Bell and her husband, composer Alan Jay Lerner, who helped her find work when the show ended.

Trubin grew up in Rye, New York, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin before finding work as an assistant on the Broadway musical Brigadoon in 1947. On that production she befriended actress Marion Bell and her husband, composer Alan Jay Lerner, who helped her find work when the show ended.

She remained in the theater for several years and formed Proscenium Productions with partners Robert Merriman and Warren Enters, with whom she won a Tony Award for their stagings of The Way of the World and Thieves Carnival.

Turning to television in the 1950s, Trubin worked as an executive for George Schaefer, the Emmy-winning producer who made dozens of films and specials for the Hallmark Hall of Fame. In the 1970s she went to work as vice president of business affairs for producer Quinn Martin, known for such series as The FBI, Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones and many others. She also served as an executive at Lorimar Productions.

Trubin died November 3, 2013, in Santa Monica, California. She was 88.
