Sarah Marshall was an actress who worked widely in theater, film and television. Her dozens of TV credits included memorable episodes of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone.
The daughter of British performers Herbert Marshall and Edna Best, she was born in London, where she began her career on the stage. She made her Broadway debut in her early twenties and in 1959 received a Tony nomination for Goodbye, Charlie and a New York Drama Critics Award for The Ponder Heart. Over the course of her career she appeared in many other plays in both Britain and the U.S.

She broke into television in the early 1950s with roles in anthology series such as Kraft Theatre, Robert Montgomery Presents and Producers Showcase, and went on to appear in dozens of other programs over the following six decades. In addition to Star Trek and Twilight Zone, her credits included The United States Steel Hour, Perry Mason, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, 77 Sunset Strip, F Troop, The Fugitive, My Favorite Martian, Get Smart, I Spy, The FBI, Three's Company, The Jeffersons, Remingtonn Steele, Cheers and many others. She also starred in the short-lived series Miss Winslow and Son.
Her feature films included The Long, Hot Summer, Lord Love a Duck, Dave and Dangerous Minds.
Marshall died January 18, 2012. She was 80.
