Crew Call: Larry Field

When you take a photo or record a video, you hope that the colors your eye sees will show up in what you shoot.

Filmmakers on WGN’s Salem don’t have to hope; they have colorist Larry Field, the subject of our latest Crew Call, to make sure that the vision they want ends up on the screen.

As Field explains, everything we see on TV goes through color correction, subtly enhancing the colors on screen to draw attention to what the filmmaker wants you to see.
