Tom Kennedy, Created Trailers and Marketing Materials

Kennedy worked on the children's series The Big Blue Marble before his involvement in the production of trailers and other marketing materials for feature films.

Tom Kennedy, an editor and producer known for creating movie trailers and other marketing materials, died December 7, 2011, in West Hills, California. He was 63.

Early in his career Kennedy worked as an editor for the PBS children’s series The Big Blue Marble in New York City.

He then moved to Los Angeles, where he worked for Kaleidoscope Films, a major producer of movie trailers. and other marketing materials. FIlms he worked on included The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Terminator, The Year of Living Dangerously and the first four Star Trek films.
