Interactive Emmy Finalists Announced

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Interactive Peer Group has announced the finalists for 2003-2004 Outstanding Achievement for Interactive Television Emmy Awards. The announcement was made by Brian Seth Hurst, Interactive Media Peer Group Governor, at the AFI Enhanced Television Workshop.

The Interactive awards are juried, with a possibility of one, more than one or no awards given. There are no nominations. The Board of Governors of the Academy will review any candidates proffered by the committees jurying the finalists and, with their approval, the awards will be presented at the 2004 Primetime Creative Arts Awards on September 12 at the Shrine Auditorium.

"First round judging was done at home with online ballots by the members of the Interactive Peer Group," said Hurst. "This was the first time in the Academy's history that voting was done online and we are pleased to say that it was a huge success for our peer group."
