Image Awards NAACP Spreads TV Honors

Bernie Mac and his namesake show on Fox scored double honors in the television categories at the 35th Image Awards last Saturday, but the NAACP spread its annual honors around. While the comedian was named outstanding actor and The Bernie Mac Show was chosen top comedy series, Showtime's Soul Food won in the drama series category.

Mo'Nique of UPN's The Parkers was honored as best actress in a comedy series, and Nia Long won in the drama performance category for her work on NBC's Third Watch. For more information, see www.naacp.org.
