Former Governor Named New Regency TV Chief
Robin Schwartz, a former Television Academy governor for children's programming, has been named president of Regency Television.
A veteran of NBC and ABC Family, Schwartz's new responsibilities include supervising series and development for the production company, which is a joint venture of Fox TV Studios and New Regency Enterprises.
"Regency was always for me the gold standard – it was the way they treat the creative process, the way they treat creative people," writer/producer and executive Schwartz told The Hollywood Reporter. "To me it is the best job in television ..."
The company's lineup includes Fox's Emmy-winners Malcolm in the Middle and Bernie Mac.
