Dick Askin Re-elected Chairman of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Shaffner, Miller, Manning, Kanter and Eisner Also Named to Key Posts for 2005-2007 Term

North Hollywood, CA, August 25, 2005 –Dick Askin, President and CEO of Tribune Entertainment, has been re-elected to a second term (2005-2007) as Chairman of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a Board of Governors meeting held last night.

“I am grateful to the Board of Governors for their support and confidence in me as expressed in the vote last night," Mr. Askin said.  "We have accomplished a great deal over the past two years and we will continue to move forward, driven by excellence, in preserving and enhancing all Academy endeavors.  Our positive momentum is strong and I foresee many opportunities to further strengthen the Academy's leadership position and role in serving our industry.”

The other officers elected for the 2005-2007 term that begins October 1 include:

Vice Chair:  John Shaffner (Production Designer, Shaffner Stewart) - Re-elected for a second term.

Second Vice Chair:  Karen Miller (Programming Marketing Consultant) - Re-elected for a second term.

Secretary: Shelia Manning (Commercial Casting Executive, Sheila Manning Casting; Co-Governor Commercials Peer Group) - Newly elected.

Treasurer:  Donna Kanter (Producer; Co-Governor Writers Peer Group) - Newly elected.

Los Angeles Area Vice Chair: Hal Eisner (Television Reporter KCOP/KTTV) - Newly elected.
