Academy Magazine Gets Five Nominations for Excellence

For the third consecutive year, the Television Academy's magazine, emmy, has been nominated best in its class by the Western Publications Association. The magazine won the "Maggie" as best of its genre in 2002 and 2003.

In all, emmy was named as finalist in five categories of the competition for trade magazines. They were:

-- Best in Communication, Advertising & Entertainment
October issue

-- Best Feature Article
"Reality Legalities" (April)

-- Best Interview or Profile
"Why Would I Want to do a Talk Show?" (February)

-- Best Single Editorial Illustration
"The Tyranny of Eighteen to Forty-Nine" (December)

-- Best Special Theme Issue
August Fashion/Costume Special
