CONNECTING THE CLASSROOM WITH THE TELEVISION INDUSTRY
Registration for Faculty Seminar: The Conference, sponsored by KIA Motors America, is now open.
Media educators nationwide are invited to attend this virtual three-day conference on October 26, 27, 28 with keynote speaker Tina Perry, president OWN: Oprah Winfrey Networks and moderated by Carla Gardini, executive vice president, Harpo Films. Panels spanning topics across the industry including The Art of Casting, The Ins and Outs of Live Television, Creativity in a Time of Crisis and much more will feature speakers such as Kristen Bartlett (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee) Adam Caldwell and Lee Eisenberg (Little America), Linda Mendoza (Tiffany Haddish: Black Mitzvah), Don Mischer (9/11 Remembered: The Day We Came Together, The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards), Haaz Sleiman (Little America), Jonathan X (The 43rd NAACP Image Awards), and more to be announced.
The event will also include one of the Television Academy Foundation's signature The Power of TV events, which will focus on the representation of homelessness on television.
Scholarships are available for faculty with no conference budget.
