The Power of TV: Trans Visibility in Storytelling

About the Event

Join us for a public program of the Television Academy Foundation:

The Power of TV: Trans Visibility in Storytelling

While recent years have brought greater awareness and on-screen inclusion of transgender characters and storylines, the representation gap persists for trans individuals onscreen and behind the scenes. We'll explore the pathways and roadblocks to expanding storytelling and visibility of trans individuals and communities in a lively conversation with:

  • Steven Canals, Creator/Executive Producer/Writer, Pose
  • Nick Adams, Director, Transgender Representation, GLAAD
  • Alexandra Grey, Actress, Chicago Med and Transparent
  • Alex Blue Davis, Actor, Grey's Anatomy
  • ... and more.
