Diversity Directory

First-Ever Television Academy Diversity Directory is Available for Downloading

December 19, 2005

Los Angeles, CA – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the completion and publication of its first membership Diversity Directory.

Said Marcy DeVeaux, Co-Chair: Committee On Diversity/ 2003-2005, "This directory is just a sample of the Academy’s hundreds of diverse members (based on EEO/diversity categories ranging from gender to age). This directory not only provides information on how to contact diverse Academy members across all peer groups, it could also be utilized to supplement those resources accessed by industry employers seeking prospective job candidates to diversify their applicant base and potentially their workforce. In addition, this directory can be used by members looking to hire (e.g., directors seeking editors) or members looking to be hired (e.g., editors seeking positions with directors)."

Filled with information submitted by members themselves and extensively cross-referenced, this directory enables employers, friends, researchers and others to discover the diversity of Television Academy membership. Also available as a hard-copy (to be distributed with the December issue of emmy magazine), an online copy may be downloaded here.

Packaged as an Adobe "Acrobat" file, the directory may be read on any PC or Mac equipped with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software, available for download here.
