Jill Dickerson, Reality Programming

Jill Dickerson serves as SVP Programming & Development at OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. She was formerly VP Programming & Development and has been with the network since 2009. A highly respected television executive and producer, she has helped launch and oversee a diverse slate of groundbreaking reality and documentary programming there, including Welcome to Sweetie Pie's, Our America with Lisa Ling, Deion's Family Playbook, and For Peete's Sake. Current projects include hit relationship series' Black Love, Family or Fiancé, Ready to Love, and Love & Marriage: Huntsville.

With two decades of experience in reality programming, she actively collaborates with producers in series development and supervises editorial management of outside production. Before joining OWN, she was consulting producer for the Sydney, Hollywood and Brooklyn seasons of MTV's The Real World, where she was responsible for developing all storylines and overseeing structure and editing of the landmark series.

Previously, Jill held roles ranging from supervising story editor to series producer for TLC's Miami Ink, VH-1's My Fair Brady, CBS' Big Brother, and ABC's The Bachelorette and Making the Band. She got her start as a story editor on The Real World: Hawaii.

Jill holds an MFA in Culture & Media from NYU and a BA in Social Anthropology from Harvard, and serves as an Executive Committee Member for the Reality Peer Group of the Television Academy. In addition to serving on the 2019 Creative Arts Awards Committee, she has also served on the boards of Transform Films and The Emma Bowen Foundation.
