Martin Freeman is an English actor that plays “Dr. John Watson” on the television series Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia (Masterpiece) on which he stars alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, and Una Stubbs. He is known for the role of “Tim Canterbury” in the BBC’s Golden Globe Award winning version of The Office, which also starred Ricky Gervais and Mackenzie Crook. Freeman played “John” in Love Actually and was cast as the lead role of “Bilbo Baggins” in the two-part Peter Jackson adaptation of The Hobbit. He starred in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and played “Mike” on the television series Hardware.
