Oleg Vidov was a Russian actor and producer best known for his work in the films Red Heat, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Wild Orchid, with Mickey Rourke.

Vidov also appeared on television, including roles on the series Alias, The West Wing, and Criminal Minds.

Additionally, he voiced the character of Captain Yuri in three episodes of Mikhail Baryshnikov's animated series Stories from My Childhood, which aired on PBS in 1998. Vidov helped to finance the digital restoration of the work, and was billed as an executive producer.

The actor had been a star in the USSR before defecting to the U.S. in 1985. He went on to appear in the films Love Affair, The Immortals, Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies, Thirteen Days and Monkey Love.

Vidov died May 16, 2017, in Westlake Village, California. He was 73.
