Marvin Paige was a casting director for films and television who also earned a reputation as a "celebrity wrangler" with the ability to secure talent for awards shows, tributes and other events.

In a career that spanned 60 years, Paige cast such TV series as Mickey, Combat!, Garrison's Gorillas, Lassie, Planet of the Apes and nearly 100 episodes of General Hospital. For his work on the long-running daytime drama, Paige received two Artios nominations from the Casting Society of America.

His feature film resume included two Woody Allen comedies — Take the Money and Run and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex — as well as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Man in the WIlderness, The Mack and Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Later in his career, Paige earned a reputation as the go-to source for producers seeking high-profile talent for live events. Organizations he worked with included the academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, American Film Institute and American Cinematheque.

He died November 13, 2013.
