Daniel Quinn was an actor best known for his roles in the films The Sessions, Wild at Heart, Rubber and Scanner Cop. He was also a proponent of better long-term care for the elderly who formerly worked in the motion picture and television industry, and was a regular visitor to the Motion Picture Home in Woodland Hills.

Quinn began performing in his hometown of Milwaukee at the age of eight, appearing as Kurt in a local theater production of The Sound of Music. At 17 he became a member of The International Thespian Society, and studied in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre School in Stratford-Upon-Avon. He was also a classically trained dancer, and he studied ballet at Juilliard. In 1980 he made his debut on Broadway, in a production of West Side Story. He later appeared in productions of Woman of the Year, starring Lauren Bacall, and The Rainmaker, opposite Gary Sandy.

His first television appearance came in 1988 with a small role on the series William Tell. He also had roles on Matlock, China Beach, Moon Over Miami, The X-Files, Port Charles, ER, L.A. Heat, Baywatch, Diagnosis Murder, Crossing Jordan, The Young and the Restless, NYPD Blue, Without a Trace, Monk and Criminal Minds.
