Bob Claver
Bob Claver was an American television producer, director, and writer.
A native of Chicago, Claver earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After serving two years in the Army, Claver moved to New York City for his first job in the entertainment industry as writer and producer of a local children’s television show called Time For Fun, which starred Bob Keeshan as Corny the Clown. Later, when Keeshan created the Captain Kangaroo show, Claver worked as a writer and producer on the show for five years.

Claver went on to produce episodes of such television series as Ensign O’Toole (with Dean Jones), The Farmer’s Daughter (with Inger Stevens and William Windom), Here Come the Brides (with Bobby Sherman and David Soul), The Interns (with Broderick Crawford), and The Girl with Something Extra (with Sally Field and John Davidson).
Claver served as executive producer of The Partridge Family for its entire run, from 1970-74.
As a director, Claver’s television credits include The Bob Newhart Show, Rhoda, Welcome Back, Kotter, The Love Boat, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Facts of Life, Mork & Mindy, Webster, and Charles in Charge.
Claver died December 14, 2017, in Redding, California. He was 89.
