Television Academy Makes Vault Informant's Top Ten Internships

Tenth Consecutive Showing for Academy's Educational Programs & Services

New York, NY The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation joins top multinational and domestic organizations on Vault Inc.'s "Internship Informants" noted list of America's Top 10 Internships for 2006.

Their experts base selection on multiple factors: substantive work, pay, perks (opportunities and freebies), selectivity, the "resume radiance" factor or how much cachet the internship carries with potential employers, and also their own subjective expertise.

In alphabetical order, here are the Internship Informants' Top 10 Internships for 2006:

  • Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
  • Apple Computer
  • Boeing
  • Central Intelligence Agency
  • Deloitte
  • Electronic Arts
  • ExxonMobil
  • INROADS
  • Northwestern Mutual Financial Network
  • Supreme Court of the United States

Having made the list for ten consecutive years, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, INROADS, and Northwestern Mutual Financial Network keep proving their programs consistent winners for participants.

Several characteristics separate Vault Inc.'s list from the pack. For example, the Television Academy Foundation's internships, which are administered by the Educational Programs & Services department, cover a broad pool of 29 disciplines. Interns may participate with company hosts ranging from well-respected animation entities and casting to production and publicity—and is one of the few paid internships in Hollywood.

Another rarity, Boeing provides interns with housing and health benefits where needed. Electronic Arts exhibits interns' work for its top executives. Northwestern Mutual Financial Network interns earn an average of more than $25,000 annually. The Supreme Court, unsurprisingly, offers the ultimate in prestige for future lawyers and politicians.
