Spike Jones to Produce Creative Arts Awards
Academy chairman Bryce Zabel anounced today that producer-director Spike Jones, Jr. will return for his ninth year as producer of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 2003 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
"Spike Jones, Jr. always brings a fresh vision and approach to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards and every year he tops himself," said Zabel. "We are thrilled to welcome him back."
Jones is a veteran producer with several awards and variety shows under his belt; he recently completed producing and directing the 55th Annual Writers Guild Awards, as well as the pre-show arrivals for the First Annual TV Land Awards. Jones has also produced and directed projects for HBO, Showtime, A&E Networks, The History Channel, TNN, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and TV Land.
Joining Jones in producing the 2003 Primetime Creative Arts Awards are Michael A. Hoey and John Moffitt, both of whom return as co-executive producers for a sixth year. Susan Abramson serves as the program's talent executive. The Creative Arts Awards will be held September 13, 2003, at the Shrine Auditorium.
