Joe Farrell, Influential Market Research Executive

Farrell's firm, National Research Group, brought key statistical information to film and television companies.

Joe Farrell, a market research executive and producer, died December 7, 2011, in Los Angeles. He was 76.

According to news reports, he died of natural causes.

In 1978, with colleague Catherine Paura, Farrell established National Research Group, known as NRG, which introduced many key statistics for movie studios and television companies, including tracking figures, test screenings, trailer and television commercial testing and more.
