Me and My Emmy: Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri

Primetime Emmy Tally: Sixteen total for this husband and wife; eight wins apiece.

How They Got the Gold: Outstanding reality-competition program, 2003– 09 and 2011, for CBS's The Amazing Race.

Now for the Noms: In 2010 they were both nominated as executive producers of Amazing Race, but after seven straight years, the show's winning streak briefly ended. Van Munster has also been nommed four times as a Race director and three times as a producer of Fox's Cops.

In the Beginning: "I don't think it crossed our minds that we would really win," Doganieri says. " e reality-competition category was just created in 2003, so that was exciting enough already. When the show was announced as the winner, we froze in our seats. I was thinking, 'Is this really happening?'"

Back on Track: "After seven consecutive wins and then a loss, winning back the Emmy last September was very special," van Munster says. "It reignited a fire in our team and confirmed that all the energy, creativity, physical and mental stress, sleepless nights are all worth it."

Summer Fun: Their new TNT reality show, The Great Escape, just ended season one, and they're in preproduction on season 22 of Race — now, that's amazing!

Handle with Care: "We had a beautiful cabinet built for our Emmys in our media room," van Munster explains. "We like to think they love to watch TV as much as we do. There isn't exactly a place for his and hers — we keep them paired up by the year we won. We have them dusted weekly, and if you want to hold one, you have to wear white gloves…. Just kidding!"
