Prolific television producer and host Dick Clark had everyone laughing with him during this touching tribute to his life and career at the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2006, urging the audience to "sit down, please" and cut the standing ovation because "the producer will have a fit."
Clark, who made a triumphant return to television after suffering a stroke in 2004, is saluted here by Simon Cowell (American Idol, X-Factor) and some well-known stars you are sure to recognize in the audience. Clark died of a heart attack on April 18, 2012. He was 82.
