Director John Sedwick Dies

Multiple Daytime Emmy Nominee

John Sedwick, a director whose credits included several popular daytime dramas, died July 3, 2008.

Sedwick directed episodes of the long-running daytime drama The Edge of Night, and in the mid-1960s went on to direct more than 250 episodes of Dark Shadows, the gothic drama populated by vampires, witches and other supernatural beings.

In the 1980s he also directed episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful.

Over the course of his career, Sedwick was nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards — including four for The Edge of Night.
