Los Angeles, CA – Celebrating the acheivements of every nominee and all those who took home statuettes after the Creative Arts Emmy Awards show, the Television Academy toasts two of its elected representatives who left with Emmys last night.
Kathryn Joosten, a governor in the Television Academy's Performers Peer Group, was named Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as "Mrs. McClusky" on the ABC's hit series Desperate Housewives.
Art director John Shaffner, who serves on the Academy’s Executive Committee as vice chair, picked up one award for Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series. He and set decorator Judi Giovanni were acknowledged for their work on ABC sitcom The George Lopez Show.

Taped at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and hosted by actor-comedian George Lopez, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards airs this Saturday, Sept. 17 on E!, just one day before the Primetime Emmy Awards telecast airs on CBS. Consult your local listings for program times.
