ABC Dominates Top Television Honors at SAG Awards

Sandra Oh of Grey's Anatomy, 24's Keifer Sutherland
Named Best Actors in Drama Series

Los Angeles, CA Sunday was a big night for some of television's biggest shows at the 12th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, with ABC posting wins in both series ensemble categories: Best Ensemble for a Drama Series for Lost, and for Desperate Housewives on the comedy side.

The two-hour ceremony was broadcast from Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles on both TNT and TBS. Among highlights, former child star Shirley Temple Black was honored with this year's life achievement award.

Emmy and Golden Globe winner Felicity Huffman was named Best Female Actor in a Comedy series for her work on Desperate Housewives, while  Will & Grace's Sean Hayes took home his third Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series award.

Sandra Oh of ABC's Grey's Anatomy, who recently took home a supporting actress Golden Globe, was named Best Female Actor in a Drama Series. 24's Kiefer Sutherland took home the drama series award for Best Male Actor.

S. Epatha Merkerson and Paul Newman won lead acting awards in a TV movie or miniseries, Merkerson for her turn in HBO's Lackawanna Blues and Newman for the cabler's Empire Falls. Both Merkerson and Newman have been lauded for these performances with Emmy and Golden Globe wins.

Among feature films, suffering an upset of sorts, Brokeback Mountain left in a shut-out, with the cast of Crash taking home ensemble acting honors and others winning the top lead and supporting awards.
